The Tourist Organization of Belgrade and the City Institute for Information and Statistics carried out the survey with the topic Foreign Residents on Belgrade, on the 455 questioned persons sample out of about 7,000 foreigners living in Belgrade.

As declared by Ms. Jasna Dimitrijević, Managing Director of the Tourist Organization of Belgrade, "the survey objective is a review of the foreign residents' attitudes on Belgrade's tourist offer, cultural and entertainment contents, places they visit, the way they spend their free time, the possibilities and limitations they meet in their daily life. Upon this all, the tourist offer of Belgrade will be created, since all of them will return to Belgrade as tourists."

The Managing Director of the City Institute for Statistics, Mr. Slobodan Karanović, points out that, according to the survey results, the foreigners like visiting Belgrade Fortress, Skadarlija, Ada Ciganlija, floating restaurants, Košutnjak and the Royal Palace in Dedinje.

They mostly visit galleries, museums, cinemas, theaters and concerts and the most visited ones were foreign rock concerts, the events The Museum Night and the Beer Festival.

82% of the foreigners feel safe in Belgrade and so many of them consider Belgrade inhabitants very hospitable. 84% of them are satisfied by the restaurant offers, 56% by the hotels and 65% of them like Serbian cuisine in the inns, 60% of the foreigners, mostly young ones, stay for weekend in the city and those leaving Belgrade mostly visit Novi Sad, Avala, Zlatibor and Fruška Gora.

They are disturbed by the traffic crowd and aggressive drivers, whereas the Belgrade taxi drivers got a satisfactory note. The foreigners living in Belgrade get their information on the capital usually from their friends and acquaintances from Belgrade, by the Internet, television and newspapers.
