EVERYTHING IS PACKED |

Under the slogan “Everything is packed“ on February 24 – 28, 2010, the 32nd International Tourism Fair – IFT 2010 takes place in Belgrade Fair halls. It will feature the local and international tour operators, the First Minute offer, accommodation facilities, tourist organizations, spas and resorts, booking systems, hotel and catering equipment, natural attractions, education in tourism and the media. This year, especially pointed out will be the closing of the Serbian rural tourism offer to the local and international visitors, as well as featuring the Danube tourism. The most famous domestic turistica agencies will provide arrangements for the summer discounts of 10 to 20%.

A part of this year’s Tourism Fair will be also a new event under the name Beo Wine Fair 2010. Wine manufacturers from Serbia, Slovenia, Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro and Macedonia will feature in it.

The first Fair day, February 24, is open for business visit and media only. The Fair opening hours are from 10.00 a. m. to 6.00 p. m. The individual ticket price is RSD.300.00, the group one RSD.200.00, whereas the car parking costs RSD.100.00 per one hour. |

THE WORLDWIDE PR AGENCIES PROMOTE SERBIA |
|
The Tourist Organization of Serbia promoted Serbia at all most important worldwide Tourism Fairs as a desirable travel destination. It featured the culture tours, cultural/historical monuments, the rural tourism, active rest in nature and the natural resources – national parks and the protected natural estates, events, Belgrade, Novi Sad, as well as the brochures “52 Weekends in Serbia”, the Roman heritage on the territory of Serbia – the Roman Emperors Culture Tour, the Transromantica Program, The Green Serbia, Serbian Villages and Serbia for the Young and Curious People.
For the forthcoming Belgrade Tourism Fair (February 24 – 28, 2010), the Tourist Organization of Serbia organized the arrival of 10 worldwide PR agencies it cooperates with. The representatives of these agencies will have a workshop with the Serbian travel agencies and journalists, under the topic of the Serbian tourism featuring in the international market, on February 25.

BELGRADE – A DESIRABLE CITY BREAK DESTINATION |

At the just closed worldwide Tourism Fairs, first of all at the Convention and Incentive Stock Exchange Conventa – Ljubljana (January 21 – 22, 2010), the Southeast Europe Stock Exchange, at which the Belgrade Convention Bureau featured as the Stock Exchange partner, as well as at the International Tourism Fair FITUR 2010 in Madrid (January 20 – 25, 2010), the Tourist Organization of Belgrade featured the Convention offer of Belgrade, in order to develop the cooperation with the convention industry of Slovenia and the Regional countries. It showed all Belgrade potentials as a City Break destination, with the stressed cultural offer, large events and city sightseeing programs.
As a positive effect of such participation, a study travel for the representatives of Germany, Italy, France, the UK, Turkey and Portugal has already been performed. During their staying in Belgrade, the prospect organizers from the convention industry visited Skadarlija, the Royal Court Complex at Dedinje, the St. Sava Church and Zemun. They expressed their great pleasure with the offered staying program, the tourist offer and Belgrade as the convention and business center of this part of Europe, with all necessary features for this tourism type – hotels, convention centers and convention/conference facilities and city capacities.

PROMOTION OF THE SERBIAN MEDICAL TOURISM

Attempting to position the Serbian spa centers in the marketing sense as the development holders of the medical tourism in the local and international markets, the Marketing Committee of the Serbian Spas and Resorts Association organize a Round Table Conference with the basic topic Marketing in the Medical Tourism Development in Serbia, during the Belgrade Tourism Fair (on February 24 – 28, 2010).

„GREEN SERBIA“ |
Wishing to inform as many tour operators, travel agencies and prospect tourists with the natural and cultural values of the largest National Park in Serbia as possible, the National Park Đerdap will feature at the International Tourism Fair in Belgrade, at the stand of the Tourist Organization of Serbia, within the project Green Serbia, which will include representatives of the protected areas in Serbia – National Parks and protected natural estates. The tourist trump of of the National Park Đerdap, in addition to the natural wealth and cultural/historical monuments is also the possibility of an active rest – trekking and biking lines, hunting and fishing tourism, as well as bird watching, which is increasingly popular among the local and International tourist clients.

Under the title Spa World Gratis, the Croatian travel agency RI AK TOURS from Rijeka entered the market with a special program for the 8th of March in the five stars Millennium Hotel in Opatija, a tourist place, attracting tourists from Europe and the world since more than 160 years, located under the mountain and natural park Učka.

The Winter Tourist Center Kopaonik has got a sales fall this year, although the Serbian Ski Grounds bought new snow guns, the order has been introduced and the lines have been made perfectly and there is also a new snow wave, announcing the skiing season extension on this mountain. And while the most hotels did not catch up with the market by their price policy, in the Jat Apartments, located in the middle of the Kopaonik Tourist Center itself, they estimated this year’s season properly and adapted to the situation and the capabilities of the clients who like staying in this facility.

The National Museum Valjevo was at the end of 2009, one of the initiators of the cluster forming for the Valjevo region tourism development and promotion Valjevo for You. In addition to the Museum, the cluster includes the Valjevo Culture Center, Modern Gallery, The Culture Monument Protection Institute, the Valjevo hotels and mansions, Balkanik travel agency, The Village Hosts Association and many others.
The National Museum Valjevo, the first in Serbia to start implementing the contemporary methods of museum presentations, focusing on the visitor and his impression, introduced ambient reconstructions and modern technology into the presentations. It started 2010 with changes and additions to the halls ‘The Exit from a Cave’ (prehistory) and “All Roads Lead from Rome (antique), reducing the ticket price (from RSD.145.00 to 120.00), as well as the tourist guide services in and around the town.

THE SAILING TOURISM IN THE SAILING SHOW |

The 32nd Sailing Show will take place on March 25 – 28, 2010, FROM Thursday to Sunday, in Belgrade Fair halls 5 and 11, as well as outdoors. The experiences of the last year’s Show, having more than 70,000 visitors, showed both the need for the outdoor exhibiting, as well and closing to the river and the features expansion to the offer of the sailing tourism.
