NO LIMITS SAILING
Under the slogan No Limits,
at all the three levels of the Hall 2, as well as outdoors at Belgrade Fair, the
31st SAILING SHOW took place on March 11 - 15, 2009. This sailing/corporate/tourist
event turned into a unique event, which, in addition to the sailors, gathers
also all parties interested in the sailing tourism.
The Sailing Show is
an unavoidable exhibiting, business and media event, including almost all product
groups: The Local and International Shipbuilders and Their Agents, Stable and
Outboard Motors, Marina and Pontoon Equipment, Sailing Schools and Charters,
Used Ships, Pneumatic Boats, Ribs, Diving and Fishing Equipment, Ship Charter,
Ship Maintenance Equipment and Accessories, Sailing Garments, Trade Literature,
as well as the Sailing Tourism Offer. The complete exhibiting conception is
oriented to enabling a better presentation of the sailing product range and
the product range Diving and Fishing Equipment has been introduced, as well.
The participants in the Sailing Show are
also representatives of marinas, associations, sport clubs and publishers
of sailing publications. In the past years it became a meeting point of all
existing and prospect boat or yacht owners who are the fans of cruising by
local or international rivers, as well as those who keep their private ships
in the waters of the Adriatic, Aegean and Mediterranean Sea.
The objective of the Sailing Show at Belgrade Fair, situated
just on a river bank, is to show the sailing potentials of both Serbia and
Belgrade, which is registered as a sea port director's office at the mouth
of two international rivers, the Sava and the Danube.
At this year's Sailing
Show, extended from four to five
days, due to a great interest of the audience, there were about 80 participants
with ships in various dimensions, from luxury yachts, speedboats and sailing
boats, catamarans, kayaks and canoes, up to small ships for daily excursions
and fishing. A special attraction was the Hanse 320 sailing boat,
32 feet long.
The most important manufacturers were participate
in this year's Siling
Show, such as MONTEREY, GLASTRON, MAXUM, REGAL, SEALINE,
FOURWINNS, FOUNTINE PAJOT, CROWNLINE, CRUNCHY, SEA REY, BENETAU, RANCRAFT,
ELAN, CHAPARRAL, DOMINATOR, LINSSEN and BOMBARDIER Sea Jet. The
exhibits for the first time were the motor ship BAVARIA,
RINKER, TERHI, STAR CRAFT, as well as the renowned Japanese manufacturer ISUZU with
the stable 500 hp ship engine. Especially interesting were the pneumatic
boats of the local manufacturer ADVERTUT.
Attention was paid also to the local manufacturers THREE PRINCESSES and,
for the first time, NARVAL and GRBA, with their new speedboats.
Sailing equipment, navigation instruments, composite materials, adhesives, HEMPEL paints,
stable motors LOMBARDINI, VETUS, KUBOTA, YANMAR DETROIT DIESEL and
others, outboard motors, such as MERCURY, TOHATSU, YAMAHA, EVINRUDE
and HONDA were featured.
THE CROATIAN CHAMBER OF COMMERCE presented
the opportunities of the Croatian sailing tourism.
This year's Sailing Show,
opened by Mr.Vojislav Radivojević,
a famous sailor and skipper, the initiator of the idea of forming the Alligator
Sailing Team, was followed by many exhibitions and trade lectures within
the sailing industry and tourism. Important topics were dedicated to the
presentation of the World Canals Conference WCC 2009, taking
part in Serbia this year, the Aqua Archeology Association, Offshore
Sailing, Euromapping - France 'The Sailing Routes of the World' and
other topics.
As declared by Mr. Milan Isaković, this year's Sailing
Show was visited by more than 45, 000 visitors and, as usually,
the most expensive exhibits were also sold immediately.
