Organized by the Tourist Prism magazine from Novi Sad, the WESTM 2018 -  5th Winter Events & Spa Travel Market was held in Belgrade  (October 24 - 25, 2018, Hyatt Regency Hotel), a business meeting intended for congress, seminar and other event organizers, hotels and other accommodation facilities, convention centers, Tourism Organizations, travel organizers, the related services providers, the companies dealing within the convention tourism (MICE). For Internet Serbia Travel News, Nikola Mihajlović, Project Manager of WESTM 2018, says "Our objective is establishing of better cooperation among tourism industries of  the Southeast and Central Europe countries, as well with the companies outside Europe, interested in the cooperation with this region. In addition to B2B meetings, the WESTM basis, the related conferences attendees get to know the latest trends within the information technologies implementation in MICE industry and tourism". In this respect, a form part of the WESTM 2018 meeting was also the conference Belgrade Tourism & MICE Forum, organized by the Tourism Organization of Belgrade and CERTUS - Center for Tourism Development of Serbia.  At the panel discussions "Tourism in the Cities", "Global Trends and the Review of Serbia and Southeast Europe", "Technologies and Events", "Event Organization and Budget Optimization" and others, besides the attendees from Serbia, there were also guests from the USA, Greece, Belgium, Denmark, Russia, United Kingdom, Poland, Azerbaijan, Hungary, France and other countries. Particularly interesting were the speeches of Alistair Turner (United Kingdom), Anisiya Evdokimov (Russia), Elina Yutelite (Belgium), Stella Ariadni Constantinou (Denmark) and other attendees. 

The Business Meeting WESTM 2018 was followed also by the traditional TOURIST PRISM Award granting, initiated in 1997 by the Editorial Board of the Tourist Prism magazine, when it launched the action For the New Quality in Tourism. Đorđe Mihajlović, CEO and Editor of the Tourist Prism, says "From the very beginning, the guiding idea was raising of the tourism service level and stimulation of the innovative projects in the tourism industry of the region. We were trying, together with our colleagues from various editorial boards (jury members) who follow tourism in the countries where the action is executed, to award those who really deserve it. This year, the jury decided to grant only ten awards, which speaks in the best way about very sharp selection and the intention to keep the action at high level, as before".
Within the WESTM 2018 meeting and the Award granting, the annual almanac Tourist Prism 2019 was promoted, as well.
