Serbia had the tourism revenues of 1.2 billion Euros last year, which is for 14.5% better result than a year before. Mr. Rasim Ljajić, Minister of Tourism of Serbia, points out the plan for this year is „Foreign currency revenues between 1.35 and 1.40 billion Euros“. The fact is there is an increasing interest of tourists in this part of the world, first of all from the overseas countries, but in spite of the fact that Serbia is a country that has to offer much of history, through the culture, nature, exotics, hospitality, up to the gastronomy, all these tourists want within their travels of 7 to 14 days to visit as many countries and destinations as possible. Induced by this fact, first of all the Association for Tourism of the Serbian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI) and the Chamber of Montenegro featured the mutual tourism product WILD SOUL OF EUROPE (7 different tours through both countries), and then the SCCI and Industry and Stopanska Komora Makedonije (Chamber of Commerce of Macedonia) promoted the project under the working title FROM THE DANUBE TO THE OHRID (three tours through both countries).
In order to unite the tourism offer of all the three countries, having the tourism growth last year higher than the global average, the representatives of the National Tourism Organizations of Serbia and Montenegro, as well as the Agency for Promotion and Support of Tourism in Macedonia, held the first initial meeting in Skopje (May 18, 2018), where they agreed upon the ways to attract more international tourists. This is related, first of all, to the intercontinental markets, such as the Emirates, China, Japan, India, Iran, United States of America and  other overseas countries, where one of the basic requirements is the regional tourism offer.

Since the two digit tourism growth from the previous year may be preserved in the following period only by finding additional features and development of the mutual tourism products, not by competition to each other, but cooperation, the next meeting to deepen the mutual activities will be held in Montenegro.

The conclusion of the Internet Serbia Travel News team about Switzerland, after a tourism visit, is briefly – the country to which tourists come from the whole world, the country of  the most precise watches, since everything works in a minute, the finest cheese types, the most delicious and highest quality chocolate, the country in which perfect order and piece rule, discipline and calmness, simply the country of happy people. We got the impression every city in Switzerland has got its own lake or river, surrounded by mountains, perfectly preserved the old part of the city, much greenery and many rows of trees, rows of buildings in pastel colors, banks and pastry shops. Boring? Not at all, especially if you come from the region, where the tourism is “Wild Beauty”. Simply – different. And Switzerland, not large by the area it takes, has got annually at the average about 20 million tourist nights. We provided our contribution visiting Zürich, Bern and Lucerne.
